About dave in accounting (dia)
Dave Morris knows small business but has big business experience. He is a CPA who spent two decades as a financial analyst and consultant for major institutions like Citibank and the NBA and as a Controller at Brown Harris Stevens. But his true business passion was realized when he began overseeing the finances for Lion in the Sun Paperie, the brick and mortar retail shop his wife opened in 2002, joining the business full time as partner and CFO in 2008 and helping grow it to a $1M+ business. He understands first hand the financial needs, time and budget limitations of the “mom and pop shop”, with an appreciation for the importance of big picture systems and efficiencies.
The DIA mission is to help small business owners get the most value out of their business by:
Taking on the work and stress about money that keeps you from focusing on your business and daily responsibilities
Highlighting critical money saving and revenue generating opportunities
Getting real about the costs associated with your business
Creating streamlined systems for you to benefit financially and get the right information to critically analyze
Teaching you how to see what's working and what's not and how to move ahead
Now with DIA, he can utilize his skills as both a corporate CPA and business owner to be the on-call CFO and mobile Accounting Department for your small business.
In addition to basic bookkeeping services, he offers essential guidance and resources in reporting, projections, analytics, software troubleshooting, and will work with you to develop strategies to be more profitable and focus on running your business to its fullest potential based on critical data and financial tools.
Quickbooks and Xero Certified Advisor.
